Miramar and West Park Residents to Chart New Course for the State Road 7 Corridor as Part of a Larger State Road 7/US 441 Collaborative Effort.HOLLYWOOD, Fla. -- On Saturday, February 5th, residents, property owners, business leaders, the elected leadership of the City of Miramar, and community residents and leaders from the newly incorporated City of West Park, will meet with regional planners and urban design professionals and begin charting a new future for the portion of the State Road 7/US 441 that runs through their communities. This effort will focus on the portion of State Road 7 between Pembroke Road Pembroke Road (Bóthar Pheambróg in Irish) runs from Upper Baggot Street to the junction of Shelbourne, Dublin and Merrion Road in Ballsbridge. At the junction of Northumberland Road and Lansdowne Road, it turns sharply to become a continuation of the former. and County Line Road, with the City of Miramar lying to the west and the newly incorporated City of West Park lying to the east of State Road 7. City residents, property owners, and business owners are welcome and encouraged to attend the planning and visioning sessions. During this week, they will be working side by side with area residents to translate community input into an ambitious yet realistic vision for future development along and adjacent to the State Road 7/US 441 corridor. The "vision" of these communities will be documented and developed during this urban design charrette and then incorporated, along with the plans of the other corridor communities, into the State Road 7/US 441 Strategic Master Plan that will guide redevelopment activities along the length of the corridor.
