Minolta PPD Secures Strong Standing in Laser Printer Market in Just Two Years.

According to figures released by the industry analyst group International Data Corp., based in Framingham, Mass., from 1997 to 1998, Minolta grew 94 percent in the U.S. desktop color laser market and 93 percent in the monochrome laser segment.

According to ZD Market Intelligence's channel survey on sales of hardware and peripherals, Minolta's January 1999 printer sales were up 59 %, compared with a year ago. Minolta also began the new year ranked fourth in desktop color laser printers with a 5% share, compared with a 3% share a year ago.
