Minnesota Pipe Line Resumes Operations of Second Pipeline Today.


ROSEMOUNT, Minn. -- With repairs now complete, the Minnesota Pipeline The Minnesota Pipeline (or Minnesota Pipe Line) is a crude oil pipeline that runs from Clearbrook, Minnesota southward to the Twin Cities. It is operated by Koch Pipeline Company, a subsidiary of Koch Industries.  System today resumed limited operations on the affected pipeline involved in a crude oil leak that occurred earlier this week. The announcement was made by company officials who indicated the line will operate at reduced flows and pressures pending thorough investigation into the cause of the leak.

Operations were interrupted Tuesday, June 27, when the common carrier Minnesota Pipeline system experienced the crude oil leak near Little Falls Little Falls is the name of some places in the United States of America:

  • Little Falls (town), New York
, Minn. The leak occurred in a right-of-way containing two parallel pipelines, affecting one of the two pipelines. Both pipelines were shut down by pipeline control center operators within minutes and the affected section was isolated within 20 minutes. There were no injuries.
