Minister of Industry discusses with AIDMO's Director ways of bolstering of economic cooperation among Arab states.
The minister praised the positive role of, and the efforts being exerted by, the organization in strengthening the bonds of economic and social relations among the Arab countries and peoples.
Engineer Osman praised the efforts being exerted by the State of Qatar in political and economic aspects, pointing out to the nearness of the issuance of the new investment law, which carries a lot of advantages for the local and foreign investors, reviewing investment opportunities in the industrial sector and the availability of natural raw materials and land and river transport in Sudan, alluding to the existence of integration between agricultural and industrial projects, enumerating the features enjoyed by Sudan for its bordering of many neighboring countries.
The AIDMO Director-General, for his part, said that the organization aims to promote joint Arab cooperation, to increase the competitiveness of the Arab industrial exports, to promote them locally and regionally and to simplify the procedures of commercial exchange, referring to the Cairo meeting in October 2012 that adopted several recommendations and proposals as well as a number of radical solutions to end up with Arab economic unity to stand in front of the global conglomerates.
Ben Yousuf called for reactivation of the joint collaboration. He stressed that the organization would forward a proposal on establishment of a model city between Egypt, Sudan and Libya in the conference of next February.
