Minister's load of air.

Byline: Dave Haskell

ONE wonders if John Hutton, the Secretary of State for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform The Secretary of State for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (formerly the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry before the June 28, 2007 reshuffle) is a cabinet position in the United Kingdom government.  (BERR BERR - bus error ), has been visiting the 'funny farm' with his latest announcement proposing to ring the UK with 7000 off-shore wind generators?

It was also reported that Alan Duncan MP told the BBC BBC
 in full British Broadcasting Corp.

Publicly financed broadcasting system in Britain. A private company at its founding in 1922, it was replaced by a public corporation under royal charter in 1927.
: "We're an island nation. There is a lot of wind around."

Perhaps some kind soul (maybe a Scottish MP) should whisper in John Hutton's ear the news regarding Hunterston B, an old Scottish nuclear power station! This station was due for closure, but is now to be reprieved with a target output of 833MW.

So this aged nuclear station, struggling in the twilight of its years, will give us more electricity than all the wind generators in the kingdom - doesn't it make you feel proud to be British?
