Mini-CDL flies on Bee.

The new Mini-Common Data Link system from Rockwell Collins and Cubic Defense took to the air for testing early August onboard a King Air platform and again on a Killer Bee drone. During the flight the Mini-CDL prototype managed bi-directional streaming video communication to a 32-km range with a 10.7-Mbps transfer rate (although the system was designed for up to 45 Mbps). The demonstration also substantiated the Mini-CDL's interoperability with other CDL-compliant equipment, which gives a green light to the system communicating with larger unmanned and manned systems.
