Explorations and Greater Lenora Resources Corp. on its property west of Thunder Bay Thunder Bay, city (1991 pop. 113,946), SW Ont., Canada, on Thunder Bay inlet of Lake Superior. The city was created in 1970 by the amalgamation of the twin cities of Fort William and Port Arthur and two adjoining townships.  has given the partners new optimism that there is a good chance of finding the mother lode Mother Lode, belt of gold-bearing quartz veins, central Calif., along the western foothills of the Sierra Nevada. The term is sometimes limited to a strip c.70 mi (110 km) long and from 1 to 6 1-2 mi (1.6–10.5 km) wide, running NW from Mariposa. . Assay results from one of the mineralized boulders has shown grades of 0.64 per cent zinc, 0.16 per cent copper, 388 grams of silver per tonne of rock and 15.9 grams of gold per tonne of rock.

In a press release detailing the findings, company officials described the discovery as highly significant.

The recent discovery paints a brighter picture for the company's exploration project taking place about 50 kilometres west of Thunder Bay.
