Millitec steps up marketing drive into sandwich industry. (Company Evolution).

Millitec Systems Limited has moved strongly into the sandwich market with the opening of a new 2,500 sq ft factory unit dedicated to the manufacture of a range of sandwich-making devices and complete sandwich production lines. A feature of the new factory unit will be a demonstration sandwich production line, including all necessary equipment--from intake and mixers, through to bread collators and butterers to aligners and knifers--to provide prospective customers with full test, trial and training facilities. Also included in the demonstration equipment will be Millitec System's InForm production planning and monitoring software, designed to maximise cost-efficient sandwich production.

The new facility is located on the same site as Millitec's existing food processing equipment factory, and shares the company's advanced 3D computer aided design, virtual reality prototyping and electronic and software engineering facilities. Richard Leger, Millitec's Managing Director explains, "Opening this new factory demonstrates just how strongly we are committed to the sandwich industry. Business is growing, we had outgrown our existing premises, and for sandwich lines we need to manufacture multiple conveyors up to 15 metres long in one piece. The new dedicated unit is the ideal way to achieve this."
