In making the announcement, Deloy Miller, Chairman and founder of Miller Petroleum, said, "We believe that embarking on such a program will allow us to convey our story to current and potential investors and will increase shareholder awareness of our goals, resulting in greater shareholder value. This is the first in a number of investor relations initiatives that we will undertake in 2002."

The first set of meetings will be held this summer in Miller's home state of Tennessee, in such cities as Knoxville, Memphis, and Nashville. Following the Tennessee meetings, the company intends on holding meetings in numerous other financial centers, including Atlanta, Raleigh-Durham, Cincinnati, and New York New York, state, United States

Mr. Miller is a seasoned gas and oil professional with more than 30 years of experience in the drilling and production business in the Appalachian Basin. He is credited with converting the Appalachian Basin from cable tool drilling to air drilling, sparking the 1969 drilling boom.

He served two terms as president of the Tennessee Oil & Gas Association and in 1978 was named the Tennessee Oil Man of the Year, and he continues to serve on the Organization's Board of Directors. Mr. Miller was appointed by the Governor of Tennessee to be the petroleum industry's representative on the Tennessee Oil & Gas Board, the state agency that regulates gas and oil operations.
