In a media release, St. Marys president Ron Stern credited employees and Dube's leadership in the past year for making strides in the mill's progress, quality and "spirit of unity."

Following a career with the Ministry of Natural Resources, Dube came aboard in 1984 as a forestry technician See PC technician and software technician.  and moved up the ladder to woodlands manager with responsibility for environmental affairs.

Dube was instrumental in forming resource-related organizations and partnerships, including the Algoma Forest Coalition, which promotes shared use of land and forest resources.
