Mikohn to Debut New Sign Spectacular Created For ITT Corp. at New York's Times Square
The MikohnVision(TM) system will be Times Square's largest and highest video landmark. It utilizes state-of-the-art technology proprietary to Mikohn for a full range of color and brightness that can be seen from as far away as Central Park.
This mega-screen video features an illuminated ITT logo with a 4Ox55 ft. MikohnVision(TM), presenting real-time graphics, animation, text and video clips. It will provide a powerful promotional identity for many ITT subsidiaries including Sheraton Hotels, Caesars World, and Madison Square Garden.
David J. Thompson, Mikohn's chairman and chief executive officer, stated: "Designing and building this sign for ITT at Times Square gives Mikohn the dual distinction of having our MikohnVision(TM) system used by one of the world's most renowned companies in one of the world's most photographed locales. This should give us unprecedented international exposure.

Since being introduced just one year ago, more than 20 MikohnVision(TM) systems have been installed from Nevada, Arizona, Louisiana and New Mexico domestically to Jordan, Mexico, St. Martin and Turkey internationally. Among these are two of the most recent in Las Vegas: a 4Ox8O ft. spectacular on the new Stratosphere Tower, the tallest structure west of the Mississippi; and a 30x49 ft. double-sided spectacular as part of a 19-story high sign display now being built by Mikohn on the facade of the Sahara Hotel & Casino.
The Times Square spectacular represents the first use of MikohnVision(TM) in a non-gaming venue.
