Midwest Werner & Pfleiderer, of Topeka, KS, has expanded its production capacity by 40%. This expansion will allow lower sales prices on many parts, according to the company. Midwest offers complete service to the rubber compounding industry. It repairs and rebuilds all sizes of internal mixers and extruders, Midwest's expansion includes the installation of a state-of-the-art computer controlled milling center, and the acquisition of radial drills, lathes and horizontal boring mills. The expansion also includes the introduction of a quality control department and the purchase of measuring tools.
