Prospecting License (PL) 1406 and PL 2043 form the Itilima gold and diamond Properties in Tanzania. Gold exploration targets were identified as the next phase of exploration, and soil geochemistry geochemistry, study of the chemical changes on the earth. More specifically, it is the study of the absolute and relative abundances of chemical elements in the minerals, soils, ores, rocks, water, and atmosphere of the earth and the distribution and movement of sampling was undertaken with 400m lines and sampling at 80m intervals on the entire 1406/99 Prospecting License. Field verification mapping was done by a Qualified Person, Marc Boisvert, P.Eng, in November and December of 2004. The mapping was done walking main drainages where erosion exposed bedrock. The results give a better understanding of the property geology and gold mineralization Mineralization The process by which the body uses minerals to build bone structure. Mentioned in: Rickets mineralization, n the bioprecipitation of an inorganic substance. . Observations confirm that gold mineralization at the Itilima zone is associated with high grade quartz-bearing veins with adjacent carbonate alteration and disseminated pyrite pyrite (pī`rīt) or iron pyrites (pīrī`tēz, pə–, pī`rīts), pale brass-yellow mineral, the bisulfide of iron, FeS2. . The geology observed in the previous RC drilling program and current field verification mapping indicate gold mineralization of the Itilima zone is hosted by brittle felsic volcanic rocks 180 meters thick, interpreted to extend over a strike length of 2.8 kilometers. Midlands Minerals Corporation has initiated a comprehensive geological mapping program on the itilima Project. About 15 km of drainage mapping is anticipated in April 2005. The objective is to obtain geological information from new drainages and from areas where further confirmation is required. The areas of most interest are the surrounding of the rhyolitic quartz eyes shallow intrusive the western part of the Itilima and the south and south western parts of the project. The focus will be on felsic rocks felsic rock Igneous rock dominated by the light-coloured, silicon- and aluminum-rich minerals feldspar and quartz. The presence of these minerals gives felsic rock its characteristic light gray colour. with alteration, rusty veinlets and quartz veinlets which will be sampled. In areas where there are no exposures, pits will be dug to check the type of bedrock.
