The iToaster, through a Windows-free environment, provides consumers with instant access to many premiere online sites in a wide variety of consumer categories. It features a complete Web browser The program that serves as your front end to the Web on the Internet. In order to view a site, you type its address (URL) into the browser's Location field; for example, www.computerlanguage.com, and the home page of that site is downloaded to you.  plus a suite of applications including word processing word processing, use of a computer program or a dedicated hardware and software package to write, edit, format, and print a document. Text is most commonly entered using a keyboard similar to a typewriter's, although handwritten input (see pen-based computer) and , spreadsheet and graphics programs.

For consumers who prefer to pay up front for the iToaster, the unit is available for $199, plus $14.95 per month for Internet access through Microworkz.com's ISP (1) See in-system programmable.

A limited edition of 10,000 iToasters will begin shipping around the 15th of July, with the bulk of the initial orders going out by early August. The credit application is available online at http://www.microworkz.com or by calling 888/306-2044. Consumers should allow ten days for credit approval and 30 days for delivery. Shipping charges are $50, payable in advance.
