Microsoft and Qubeconnect Roll Out Unified Solutions; Technology Partnership Paves Way to Interoperability of Diverse Platforms.

Kuala Lumpur, May 21, 2008 - (ACN Newswire) - Microsoft Malaysia and homegrown IP telephony solutions provider, Qubeconnect Sdn Bhd, today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to develop and deliver interoperability for its unified communications solutions across the two computing platforms.

Under the terms of memorandum, QubeConnect will establish a collaborative framework that will link Microsoft Office Communications Server (OCS) to a choice of proprietary and open source computing and communications platform seamlessly.

Microsoft OCS is a communications suite that offers VoIP applications, instant messaging, voicemail, unified messaging, conferencing, email and a host of other collaborative applications when tied into Exchange Server 2007. However, its communications reach is limited to users and organizations on the same platform.
