Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse.

This boasts the new-fangled "tilt wheel" wizardry. The tilt technology apparently supplements your regular up-down scrolling (chat, games) scrolling - To flood a chat room or Internet game with text or macros in an attempt to annoy the occupants. This can often cause the chat room to be "uninhabitable" due to the "noise" created by the scroller. Compare spam. action with new, side-to-side scrolling action--indispensable for accountants, apparently, or for viewing really wide Web pages. The full names of the two mice are (take a deep breath): "Wireless IntelliMouse Microsoft's brand name for its scroll mouse which popularized the concept. The moving wheel in the center of the mouse scrolls the content of the current window. See scroll mouse. Explorer Night Vision Green" and "Wireless Optical Mouse A mouse that uses light to detect movement. It emits a light and senses its reflection as it is moved. Early optical mice required a special mouse pad, but today's devices can be rolled over traditional pads like a mechanical mouse as well as over almost any surface other than glass or mirror. Contrast with mechanical mouse. Groovy Orange." Unfortunately, I think the new "Night Vision" IntelliMouse is so-called only due to the color scheme, as it wasn't produced by the Pentagon.
