Microdesk tapped for Google training.

Nashua-based Microdesk has been named the first authorized Google training center in the United States.

According to the agreement, Microdesk will provide training for Google's 3D architectural modeling software, SketchUp, and its Google Earth and Google Earth Pro applications.

Microdesk provides business process, information technology and software consulting to the architectural, engineering, construction and facility operations industries. The deal, said Michael DeLacey, president of Microdesk, allows the firm "to extend the value we deliver to the AECO (architectural, engineering, construction and facility operations) industry. This falls right in line with our long-term strategy to provide a full suite of software, training and consulting offerings to architects, engineers, constructors and owner operators."

The firm, which has offices in Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles and San Francisco, "makes us convenient to a large portion of the industry," said Roger Charbonneau, Microdesk's West Coast operations manager. "The strategic nature of these locations allows us to provide training and support services to organizations across the nation"
