MicroOptical's myvu(TM) Personal Media Viewer to Make Its U.S. Debut for the Mobile Industry at CTIA Wireless 2006; The Future of Video Eyewear for Mobile Entertainment to be Featured in the Fashion in Motion Show.
When plugged into a mobile device, the myvu viewer presents a large TV-like experience that mobile devices' small displays cannot match. MicroOptical will demonstrate how the small, ultra-light eyewear viewer enhances current and future mobile applications such as high quality mobile TV and interactive gaming.
The myvu viewer will also be featured in the Fashion in Motion show, a technology fashion show that fuses the world of high fashion with the latest wireless technology. In this couture style runway show, models display the latest and greatest wireless devices and accessories on the market today, as well as the futuristic technology of tomorrow. Fashion shows will take place on the Fashion Show Stage located in the Mobile Entertainment eXPo area in the Central Hall of the convention center: Wednesday, April 5, and Thursday, April 6: 11:00 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m.; and Friday, April 7, at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
"Mobile devices will remain in their current form factor for years to come. The size of their displays continues to be a major roadblock for a satisfactory user experience," said Tony Ho, Director of Business Development of MicroOptical. "The myvu viewer is designed to address this issue by providing hands free, head-up access to a large, bright quality image that's daylight viewable. The myvu viewer, which offers privacy by design, truly enables users to watch anything, anytime, anywhere, and any way they want it."
