Micro Information Products Adds New Forms Designer to Its Nonprofit Series Accounting Software.

Business/Technology Editors

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 20, 2000

Micro Information Products (MIP), maker of fund accounting software for nonprofit organizations, today announced the availability of the Forms Designer module for its NonProfit Series (R) for Windows(R) (NPS). The software, which integrates with the NPS General Ledger, creates the design layout for checks, vendor Form 1099s, bills, purchase orders, and statements.

&uot;We developed our Forms Designer module so that our customers will no longer have to pay the price for custom forms. They can easily design their own forms with the look they want at a lower cost,&uot; said Kent Hollrah, MIP's CEO.

The Forms Designer module is an easy-to-use, flexible tool that gives users greater creativity and control over creating forms. Multi-tab menus make it easy to move, edit, or delete fields on each form. Form designers can change the font and content of fields and add customized artwork to form layouts. They can edit the column order or delete unnecessary fields. The NPS Forms Designer can create ad hoc forms or save the customized forms for repeated use.

The new Forms Designer module allows users to perform the following functions:

--Use customized logos or artwork on checks, statements, bills, or purchase orders

--Use multiple headings and addresses on blank check stock

--Print banking routing (MICR) codes on blank check stock

--Move payee name or check amount fields for different check formats

--Adjust size and appearance of columns on statements or check stubs

--Insert auto-signatures on checks

--Restrict usage and amounts of checks that are auto-signed

More information about the Forms Designer module, the NonProfit Series(R) for Windows(R) and other MIP products is available on the Internet at www.mip.com or by calling 1-800-647-3863.
