Micro Focus Adds IT Industry Veteran Christopher Sanders to Executive Management Team.

PALO ALTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 16, 1997--Micro Focus (NASDAQ:MIFGY) announced today that 20-year IT industry veteran Christopher Sanders has joined the executive management team as senior vice president of strategic planning.

Sanders will work closely with CEO Martin Waters on defining future product line directions as well as acquisition strategies for continued growth.

Prior to joining Micro Focus, Sanders was most recently the vice president of consulting for PLATINUM technology Solutions, a $160 million IT services division of PLATINUM technology. He was responsible for all services in the Western region as well as the worldwide Internet Services practice. Previously, he had served as vice president of marketing for the company. Sanders has also held various management positions at Locus Computing Corporation, National Semiconductor, The Perkin-Elmer Corporation and MICOS Computer Systems, Inc.
