Micro D and Modacad Announce Joint Licensing Agreement.

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 21, 1999--Modacad Inc. (Nasdaq:MODA) Thursday announced that it has entered into a joint licensing agreement with Micro D Inc., a premier supplier of product customization visualization technology and publisher of the PreVue digital catalog system for the home furnishing industry, in order to co-market Modacad's ModaFINITY with Micro D's products.

The result of this agreement will be a combined offering of the largest number of electronic merchandising catalogs offered for retailers in home furnishings anywhere.

Modacad's ModaFINITY is point-of-sale electronic merchandising software for in-store cataloging and visualization of products. ModaFINITY features real-time rendering for visualization, electronic order collection and special order visualizations and validation.

Customers include such industry leaders as Action Lane, Broyhill, Clayton Marcus, Flexsteel Industries, Highland House, Key City, Norwalk Furniture, Riverside Furniture, Rowe Furniture and Schnadig.

Micro D currently publishes PreVue digital catalogs, designed to help consumers visualize upholstery fabrics on furniture frames, for leading furniture manufacturers such as Century, Drexel Heritage, Ethan Allen, Lexington, Henredon, Hickory Chair, Thomasville, Sherrill and Vanguard.

More than 1,000 furniture retailers and manufacturers sales representatives currently use PreVue to increase their custom order sales. Additional products and services that support product customization and electronic commerce are under development.
