Michigan school board flunks 'intelligent design'.


The Michigan State Board of Education has taken a stand for sound science education by ensuring that "intelligent design" may not be taught in the state's biology courses.

The state school board voted 8-0 in early October to block intelligent design, the latest variant of creationism creationism or creation science, belief in the biblical account of the creation of the world as described in Genesis, a characteristic especially of fundamentalist Protestantism (see fundamentalism). , from high school biology classes.
