Michelin Ag introduces 3 new tractor tires, new industrial model. (Industry Focus: Tires). To help accommodate farmers who are reducing row spacing, Michelin has designed a tire to be less invasive invasive /in·va·sive/ (-siv) 1. having the quality of invasiveness. 2. involving puncture of the skin or insertion of an instrument or foreign material into the body; said of diagnostic techniques. to crop root structures. Featuring narrow section width, additional lugs and rounded shoulders, the Agribib Row Crop tire helps deliver a slower wear rate and long tire life under heavy loads at road and field speeds. Additionally, the flexile flex·ile adj. Flexible. Adj. 1. flexile - able to flex; able to bend easily; "slim flexible birches" flexible casing is engineered for heavier loads and higher air pressures, while offering an enlarged footprint to minimize compaction and generate a comfortable ride. The Agribib Row Crop tire is available in: 290/95R34, 320/85R38, 380/90R46, 320/90R50 and 320/90R54. Michelin plans to add additional sizes to the line shortly. Michelin has engineered a radial radial /ra·di·al/ (ra´de-al) 1. pertaining to the radius of the arm or to the radial (lateral) aspect of the arm as opposed to the ulnar (medial) aspect; pertaining to a radius. 2. tire that delivers vital soil protection with the MachXBib. The huge footprint, rounded shoulders and ultra-low pressure of the MachXBib allow for less soil compaction For natural compaction on a geologic scale, see compaction (geology); for consolidation near the surface, see Consolidation (soil). Soil compaction occurs when weight of livestock or heavy machinery compresses soil, causing it to lose pore space. and decreased rut depth. The MachXBib also provides exceptional traction Traction Definition Traction is the use of a pulling force to treat muscle and skeleton disorders. If the coronary matrix is injured there may be a subsequent crack or deformity. and large air chamber give this tire the ability to carry extremely heavy loads at a low pressure, yet maintain an exceptionally smooth ride on the road at speeds of up to 30 mph. The MachXBib is available in: 600/65R28, 600/70R28, 710/55R30, 650/75R38, 650/85R38 and 900/50R42. Two new sizes will be introduced shortly: 800/70R38 and 600/70R30. To combat damage to crops, Michelin Ag has introduced a radial tire for harvesters and tractors that offers exceptional protection from rutting and compaction, while helping to provide excellent floatation. Certain tires are now also available for Terra-Gator machines. The Michelin MegaXBib helps to carry heavy loads with minimal risk of soil damage. The ultra-low ground pressure delivered by this radial tire helps protect the field from the weight of the load. The flat, stable tread of the MegaXBib provides exceptional ground pressure distribution. The ultra-low pressure and super-flexible sidewalls of the tire help provide a soft, stable ride with excellent handling. The MegaXBib comes in the following sizes: 1000/50R25 and 1050/50R32. For backhoes and material handling machines working in difficult job site conditions, Michelin offers the new XM37 industrial radial tire. Reinforced and fortified fortified (fôrt adj containing additives more potent than the principal ingredient. to operate in tough environments, the XM37 is designed to provide superb grip and traction in a wide variety of conditions. The XM37 is used primarily in construction, demolition and building applications. The XM37 features the Michelin X-radial design, which helps to deliver significantly reduced flats as well as extended, more even wear. Unique rubber compounds help to enhance the tire's performance in hard-surface conditions. Currently, the Michelin XM37 is available in the following sizes: 12.5/80R18; 10.5R20; 12.5/80R20; 400/70R20 (14.5R20); 16.9R24; 440/70R24 (17.5LR24); 500/70R24 (19.5LR24); 480/80R26 (18.4R26) and 16.9R28.
