Michael Siegel, M.D. named acting chief medical officer of Health Net.


WOODLAND HILLS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 19, 1996--Health Net, California's second largest health maintenance organization (HMO), today named Michael Siegel, M.D. acting chief medical officer (CMO). Dr. Siegel will assume the CMO's duties immediately.

Dr. Siegel has held senior medical management positions with Health Net since July 1992, most recently as vice president, Medical Affairs for Southern California. Prior to Health Net, Dr. Siegel was a practicing physician in the Los Angeles area, specializing in pediatrics and pediatric pediatric /pe·di·at·ric/ (pe?de-at´rik) pertaining to the health of children.

He received his medical degree from Tufts University, Boston, MA. He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical honor society. Dr. Siegel completed his residency training at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is one of the largest and oldest children's hospitals in the world.
