Michael Jackson--defendant.

It's finally here--and it's big. The Michael Jackson Noun 1. Michael Jackson - United States singer who began singing with his four brothers and later became a highly successful star during the 1980s (born in 1958)

, just a week or so old, is generating an onslaught of coverage, not only in the tabloids but all over the general media. Jackson, who is accused of molesting a 13-year-old boy in 2003, denies the charges, and there were reports last week that he might take the stand in his own defense. Given the attention this case has received, the Business Journal asks:

Have you been following the Michael Jackson case?

Absolutely. We're always interested in how the media is treated in high profile cases. The case has had an extraordinary level of secrecy going into the trial. From the perspective of the public, this causes concern about whether that is justified in this or any case. We also represent E! Entertainment Television, which has a unique program about the trial.

No, I haven't followed it because I'm not really interested. I've seen him go down this road before so I'm just waiting to see what they're going to say. I'll be interested in the verdict, just not the hype.

It doesn't interest me. Not because of anything to do with celebrities, but it's just become a media circus media circus nexcesivo despliegue informativo

I watch it a little. Celebrity cases are fun to watch, like the Martha Stewart <noinclude></noinclude>

I have not. I feel like I can make better use of my time. I'm not a fan of Michael Jackson and the first things I heard about the content did not pique my curiosity. As far as celebrity cases go, being a sports fan, I paid attention to the Kobe Bryant case.

No I have not. Basically, I don't care for the man, and I don't care what happens to the man. He's a very strange guy.

I'm not sitting at my computer reading every word, but it is interesting from a legal perspective. The heart of the defense seems to be that we have an evil mother manipulating a gullible kid for money. It is interesting that they're putting the room on trial.

Yes. It's a one-man demonstration of almost every bad principle of crisis management I've ever seen. He doesn't just have a ranch called Neverland--he appears to live there in terms of his approach to dealing with public opinion. I'm sure he has access to the best (public relations public relations, activities and policies used to create public interest in a person, idea, product, institution, or business establishment. By its nature, public relations is devoted to serving particular interests by presenting them to the public in the most  specialists) in the field, as well as the best lawyers, but he keeps doing the same bad things over and over again.
