Michael Jackson's brain returned.

Summary: Michael Jackson's brain has been returned to the family of the late pop star.

Michael Jackson's brain has been returned to the family of the late pop star in a move that could soon see him finally laid to rest.

The organ was removed from the 50-year-old singer's body following his death on June 25 as pathologists carried out tests in a bid to discover what killed him.

But a spokesman for Los Angeles Department of Coroners said that the brain had now been united with the rest of the corpse.

Speculation will now turn to where the King of Pop will be buried, with reports in America suggesting that the family is preparing to bury him in an unmarked grave in Los Angeles's Forest Lawn Cemetery.

There had been speculation that the King of Pop would be buried at his Neverland Ranch but, as yet, there has been no application for permission to do so.
