Hannon is responsible for strategic planning, analysis of internal and external growth opportunities, and management and integration of potential merger and acquisition processes. Since 2002, Hannon has been President of Valuation Insight, Inc., a firm specializing in merger and acquisition consulting. From 1994 to 2002, Hannon was Vice President of Development / Mergers & Acquisitions at Allied Waste Industries, Inc. In that position, Hannon led a team that acquired more than 300 waste service businesses. Allied also acquired several publicly held companies during Hannon's tenure including Laidlaw Waste Systems, Inc. (1996) and Browning-Ferris Industries, Inc. (1999). Hannon previously served as Midwest Regional Vice President with Laidlaw, and before that as a Regional Controller with Laidlaw and SCA (Single Connector Attachment) An 80-pin plug and socket used to connect peripherals. With a SCSI drive, it rolls three cables (power, data channel and ID configuration) into one connector for fast installation and removal.  Services. With the hiring of Hannon, the Company has no current plans to name a new Chief Financial Officer. Vice President and Controller Michael Gilberg continues to serve as American Ecology's Chief Accounting Officer and as Secretary and Treasurer to the Company's Board of Directors.
