Miami's International extravaganza.

Top dancers from all over the world perform in the 12th annual International Ballet Festival of Miami, honoring Roland Petit. They represent 25 companies including English National Ballet, Paris Opera Ballet (below), Polish National Ballet, Ballet Santiago, Carolina Ballet, and the American National Ballet (a new company formed to preserve Margot Fonteyn's legacy.) Dancers can also attend workshops, master classes, and see rare dance films, or check out a special performance by young medal winners of international ballet competitions. The festival takes place in Miami, Miami Beach, Coral Gables, and West Palm Beach, Aug. 31-Sept. 16. See www.internationalballetfestival.com.
