Mexico is for lovers.


Every February since 2001 hundreds of gay and lesbian couples have crowded into Mexico City's large Alameda Park Coordinates:

Lovers' holiday celebrated on February 14, the feast day of St. Valentine, one of two 3rd-century Roman martyrs of the same name. St.
 this year the crowd grew into the thousands as couples hugged, kissed, and signed up to receive symbolic certificates recognizing their relationships. The protesters also urged Mexico City's legislature to pass a pending bill that would establish a domestic-partnership registry. In all of Latin America Latin America, the Spanish-speaking, Portuguese-speaking, and French-speaking countries (except Canada) of North America, South America, Central America, and the West Indies.  domestic partner and civil union registration laws have been established so far only in the city of Buenos Aires and the province of Rio Negro in Argentina, and in the state of Rio Grande do Sul Rio Grande do Sul (rē` grän`dĭ th s  in Brazil.
