An old mansion converted into a restaurant was a pleasant setting for an afternoon meal. Don't expect Mexican offerings here, as the food is authentically Polish. For platters, we very highly recommend the kaczka, roasted duck, golobki, cabbage stuffed with ground beef and the nalesnick, a cheese-stuffed crepe crepe (krāp), thin fabric of crinkled texture, woven originally in silk but now available in all major fibers. A very chic and modern Mexican restaurant that leaves behind the colonial area and ushers hungry patrons into the new age of local cuisine and architecture, while conserving its "Mexicaness." The restaurant's modernized versions of traditional Mexican appetizers and entrees are quite tasty and the impeccably dressed waitstaff gave top-notch service.

an intimate dining spot, this bustling Argentine restaurant is not the place to go. Its ambience is somewhat sickly--the walls and lighting are yellow--but there are strokes of authenticity in the pictures on the walls that illustrate various facets of South American life. The oil-soaked salad was a definite loser, but our good meat entrees were cooked to our specifications and were pleasantly filling.

Wonderful for a friendly lunch or romantic dinner, the intimate ambience is highlighted by impressive paintings and a fine minimalist design. A wide food selection makes beginning a meal a difficult task but one that's certainly well worth it. The restaurant's specialty--French cuisine--is exquisite, and specifically, the grilled salmon tops our list. The choice of a daily Mexican-style "comida corrida" makes pampering yourself a more economical affair.
