Mexico Accepts Bofors Defence 57-mm Mk 3 Naval Gun For Navy Service.

UDI is expected to provide backward compatibility with DVI and HDMI interfaces. ) announced that its Swedish subsidiary, Bofors Defence, successfully completed Sea Acceptance Tests of the 57-mm Mk 3 Naval Gun System aboard Mexico's Oceanica Class ship SONORA (PO 152) in the Pacific Ocean off Mexico earlier this year.

These sea trials were the final step in Mexico's installation and acceptance of the 57-mm Mk 3 for Navy service.

In addition to SONORA, Mexico has installed and tested a second 57-mm Mk 3 Naval Gun System aboard the DURANGO (PO 151). Both gun systems are comprised of a remotely controlled gun capable of firing at 220 rounds per minute. The gun fires the Bofors Defence 3 P (prefragmented, programmable, proximity-fuzed) family of 57-mm ammunition.
