Metso to supply papermaking line in the Czech Republic.


METSO TO SUPPLY PAPERMAKING LINE IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC Czech Republic, Czech Česká Republika (2005 est. pop. 10,241,000), republic, 29,677 sq mi (78,864 sq km), central Europe. It is bordered by Slovakia on the east, Austria on the south, Germany on the west, and Poland on the north. . Metso Paper, Helsinki, Finland has agreed with Myllykoski Corp., Anjalankoski, Kymenlaakso, Finland to supply a large paper making line to be located in the Czech Republic. Project engineering has begun on separate terms in anticipation of the final local approval. Myllykoski is scheduling the line to come on stream in early 2007. The delivery will be valued at well over EUR EUR

 plants; stock preparation; a 2000 meters/min, 11.3-meter-wide paper machine with on-machine calendering calendering, a finishing process by which paper, plastics, rubber, or textiles are pressed into sheets and smoothed, glazed, polished, or given a moiré or embossed surface. ; winders; and roll finishing systems. Metso Automation will supply a large automation system package.

IN OTHER METSO NEWS:

* Metso Paper will supply a coating machine for thermal paper to Jujo Thermal Ltd., located in Kauttua, Finland. The value of the delivery exceeds EUR 10 million (US$ 12 million). The coating machine will start its operation during second half of 2006, and the order was booked in the third quarter of 2005.

* Stora Enso Laminating Papers' Imatra Mills ordered a PaperIQ Plus system from Metso Automation. The system will be used on paper machine Number 7, and Metso will also replace the machine's old Alcont DCS (1) See also DSC.
