Metso Minerals introduces SmartScreen technology.

* Metso Minerals, a global manufacturer of screening and recycling equipment with a North American office in Milwaukee, has unveiled the newest members o fits ST line of track-mounted mobile screening plants.

Known as the Nordberg ST348 and ST352 mobile screens, the units feature SmartScreen[R] technology, which Metso says will give contractors "unprecedented flexibility to monitor and optimize their screening operations.

The new models are designed for jobs requiring high production of multiple products and fine screening. Both models also feature "a powerful intelligent controller (IC300) that maximizes screening performance," according to the company.

"As contractors continue to look for ways to reduce costs and increase efficiency, the need for products like our Nordberg ST348 and ST352 mobile screens grows," says Ben Hansbury, vice president of Metso Minerals' Mobile Screens product line.

The ST348 features an 8-foot by 4-foot four-bearing screen. The end-to-end crowning of the ST348 screen box and adjustable screen angle allow for high production and efficient separation of sized material.

The ST352 features a 12-foot by 5-foot two-bearing screen with the same screen box design as the ST348, featuring an adjustable screen angle for improved performance. The ST352 is available with a direct feed system.
