The Metso foundry in Karlstad specializes in large, hand-molded cast pieces such as Yankee cylinders for tissue paper machines, components for wind turbines and diesel engine blocks. The total capacity of the foundry is 9000 tons/yr. The foundry's 104 employees will transfer to the new company.

The new company plans to focus on serving the wind turbine turbine, rotary engine that uses a continuous stream of fluid (gas or liquid) to turn a shaft that can drive machinery.
