, the former Soviet Union and other emerging markets, today announced the successful launch of its portal website in Hungary. The portal, UnoWeb (www.uno.hu), is the second in a series of local language portals to be launched by MITI in the markets of Central and Eastern Europe The term "Central and Eastern Europe" came into wide spread use, replacing "Eastern bloc", to describe former Communist countries in Europe, after the collapse of the Iron Curtain in 1989/90. . The first portal was successfully launched in Estonia in March 2000.

The Hungarian portal, marketed under the name UnoWeb, carries popular content including real-time news, entertainment stories, financial, sports and weather information, as well as online dictionaries, horoscopes, classifieds and personals sections, chatrooms, games and discussion forums. As part of the portal's focus on local content, UnoWeb offers a comprehensive collection of Hungarian concert, TV, film and radio listings. The portal's web mail service offers SMS (1) (Storage Management System) Software used to routinely back up and archive files. See HSM.

UnoWeb, in conjunction with the MITI-owned leading Budapest radio station, Radio Juventus, also offers real time song and artist information from the station's programs, along with an e-commerce platform for the visitors to purchase the music played on the radio station. In addition, UnoWeb includes the most comprehensive online listing of Hungarian rock Hungarian rock has been a part of the popular music of Hungary since the early 1960s. The first major bands were Illés, Metró and Omega. At the time, rock was not approved of by the Hungarian Communist authorities.  and pop artist biographies.

Radio Juventus will assist in the promotion of UnoWeb through the provision of more than $1 million in marketing support, through the contribution of radio advertising for the portal, during the first 12 months of operation.
