LivePerson will have a private, secure connection and continuous link to MFN's global optical IP network that eliminates the congestion and latency problems that businesses often experience between their offices and their co-location facilities. LivePerson will be utilizing optical WDM equipment from Nortel Networks; namely the OPTera Metro series. This will allow LivePerson to connect its Cisco GSR's at multi-gigabit speeds and create a transparent extension of LivePerson's data centers across the Manhattan metro area. LivePerson's largest off-site data center is located at AboveNet's highly secure and fault-tolerant New York City ISX facility. In addition, LivePerson will have access to MFN's scaleable, reliable global optical IP network.
