Metretek Technologies Names President and CEO of Florida Subsidiary.

DENVER -- Metretek Technologies, Inc. (Amex:MEK) announced that Joseph L. Harley has been named president and chief executive officer of Metretek, Incorporated ("Metretek Florida"), its Melbourne, Florida-based subsidiary that has long provided automated meter reading (AMR) devices to gas and electric utilities.

Harley, with over thirty years experience in telecommunications and software development for both consumer and business applications, was most recently Metretek Florida's vice president of Engineering, Business Development, and International Sales. Since joining Metretek Florida in 1992, said W. Phillip Marcum, chairman and CEO of Metretek Technologies, Harley has been instrumental in the development and marketing of a growing number of electronic and software systems, including Metretek Florida's InvisiConnect[TM] cellular-TCP/IP communication products.
