Method for processing elastomers.U.S. patent: 6,872,754 Issued: March 29, 2005 Inventor: Leon Wortham Key statement: This invention utilizes two solvents, DMSO DMSO dimethyl sulfoxide. DMSO n. Dimethyl sulfoxide; a colorless hygroscopic liquid obtained from lignin, used as a penetrant to convey medications into the tissues. DMSO, n. and d-limonene, to aid in the processing of cured rubber or hydrocarbon hydrocarbon (hī'drōkär`bən), any organic compound composed solely of the elements hydrogen and carbon. The hydrocarbons differ both in the total number of carbon and hydrogen atoms in their molecules and in the proportion of hydrogen elastomers into crumb, without altering the physical properties of the elastomer elastomer (ĭlăs`təmər), substance having to some extent the elastic properties of natural rubber. The term is sometimes used technically to distinguish synthetic rubbers and rubberlike plastics from natural rubber. . |
