Metal looks shine at ZOW: metallic laminates and decorative hardware are a prevalent trend at German design show. (FX Special Effects).


ZOW ZOW Zumwalt's Own Words , Germany's regional furniture and cabinet supply fair with a twist, established a new attendance record when it convened Feb. 24-28 in Bad Salzuflen.

The five-day show, one day longer than previous years' events, attracted 12,950 visitors, including a small North American North American

. The space limitations not only forced the 556 exhibitors to put the emphasis on displaying their newest and/or most popular products but also made it very easy for attendees to travel from the furthest point of either hail to make their appointments.

Rauvolet is a metallic family of products from Rehau. Included is a metallic tambour tambour /tam·bour/ (tam-boor´) a drum-shaped appliance used in transmitting movements in a recording instrument.  featuring aluminum over polypropylene. The combination offers operating comfort and quiet, smooth action, Rehau says. Circle #250

Doellken's iridescent ir·i·des·cent

Linnemann's metal wrapping foils range from super matte to high gloss. The diverse range is made possible by the use of electron beam cured finishing.

Hafele's Highlight furniture feet are available in about 100 models in polished or matte aluminum. They consist of few parts and are push fitting and combinable. The neutral metal surfaces complement any wood, laminate or upholstery textile.

"Dynasoft" is Mepla-Alfit's rendition of a soft-and-silent slide system. It is fully integrated in the company s new DWD--Dynamic-XP slides, which can be used in drawer lengths of 275mm to 650mm and drawer widths up to 1.200mm.

EB-Igratronic surfaces from Bausch GmbH are manufactured by hardening the lacquer lacquer, solution of film-forming materials, natural or synthetic, usually applied as an ornamental or protective coating. Quick-drying synthetic lacquers are used to coat automobiles, furniture, textiles, paper, and metalware.  with electron beams. Bausch says the technology allows it to manufacture products with a wider range of smoothness, gloss and structure. Rolls can be produced in widths of 700mm to 2,300mm.
