Metal Cutting Corp.'s miniature ventilated slotted and finned electrodes now available.Miniature ventilated slotted and finned electrodes are made by Cedar Grove, NJ-based Metal Cutting Corp. in high volumes or small prototype runs. Increased surface area provided by the fin and slot features increases electrical stimulation and signal sensitivity in certain medical electrode designs. For medical electronics, thin heat dissipating fins and precision tapers and points are uniquely valuable in high-temperature atmosphere controlled and sealed operating environments. High-intensity arc discharge lighting electrodes benefit from improved thermal management. Critical inside corner and exterior shoulder configurations and geometries are possible, from radii to sharp steps. These designs are tightly controlled during manufacturing to ensure consistent repeatability. All metals suitable for electrode components, including tungsten and stainless steel, can be machined into long-life electrodes in cylindrical wire or rod and thin film ribbon or sheet form. Manufacturing is done in two locations, with a combined 57,000 square feet of ISO 9001:2000-certified metal fabricating production, the company said.
