MetaLINCS Joins First Project Aimed at Defining Best Practices in E-Discovery Market; Electronic Discovery Reference Model Project will Help Establish Standards to Shape Future of Rapidly Evolving Industry.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. -- MetaLINCS(TM), a leading provider of Electronic Discovery software, today announced it has joined the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) Project. As a project member, MetaLINCS will work with other industry leaders to develop a publicly available reference model describing the concepts and relationships that comprise the E-Discovery process, as well as provide a common, flexible and extensible framework for the development, selection, evaluation and use of E-Discovery products and services.

Formed in May of this year, the Electronic Discovery Reference Model Project will address the lack of standards and guidelines in the new E-Discovery market. The Project's member organizations include leading providers of electronic discovery related products and services, prominent law firms, and corporate counsel. Independent consultants George Socha (Socha Consulting, LLC) and Tom Gelbmann (Gelbmann & Associates) organized the project and will serve as project managers through its completion. The primary result of the project will be a documented reference model placed in the public domain by May 25, 2006.

As CEO of Brightware, he created the first eCRM packaged offering, established web self-service and led the company to market leadership in email customer service. Williams was also founder, EVP and CTO of Inference, where he created the first commercial artificial intelligence products and brought the first customer service problem resolution application to market, culminating in a successful IPO. Most recently, he was president of InQuira, a market and technology leader in the natural language search and self-service space.

MetaLINCS joins a notable list of over 60 high-profile firms, organizations and corporations on the EDRM Project, including DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary, ILTA, Pfizer Inc., Fenwick & West LLP, and ABA Law Practice Management Section.
