MetLife Makes Appointments.


MetLife has announced a series of executive appointments, including:

* Leland Leland is the name of several places:
  • Leland, Illinois
  • Leland, Iowa
  • Leland, Michigan
  • Leland, Mississippi
  • Leland, North Carolina
  • Leland, Utah
  • Leland Grove, Illinois
  • Leland, Norway
There's also:
  • Leland River
 C. Launer has been appointed corporate treasurer. Launer will be responsible for overseeing treasury operations, including external capital raising, capital allocation The apportionment or designation of an item for a specific purpose or to a particular place.

 replacing Judy E. Weiss who was recently named to lead MetLife's new banking initiative. Talbi's most recent position was senior vice president and chief financial officer for institutional business.

* Eric T. Steigerwalt has been named senior vice president, investor relations Investor relations

. Steigerwalt is responsible for coordinating and managing the information flow to the company's outside constituencies, including rating agencies, Wall Street research analysts and stockholders.
