Message from the Executive Director.

The American Society of Military Comptrollers had a successful year, as indicated by the outgoing National President. I want to echo his closing comment. The strength of ASMC is the great leadership at the chapter level. In many associations the leadership is selected from a reluctant few. In many of our chapters we have people asking for leadership positions, and others waiting in the wings for their opportunity. If you have that situation in your chapter, then you know you are doing something right.

This edition of Armed Forces Comptroller features reports on the PDI and several excellent articles on the smart cards, which are coming into more everyday use. This is an example of how the AFC can serve as a practical resource for you.
