Merrill to head Devine lobbying unit.

Jim Merrill, who served as former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney's New Hampshire presidential campaign manager, has returned to the law firm of Merrill Devine Millimet as managing director of Devine Strategies.

The new service of the firm provides strategic public affairs and issues management services for corporations, municipalities, public figures, and other organizations that may be faced with significant challenges that go beyond the legal arena.

Also part of the Devine Strategies team are a multi-faceted group of consultants: Charles E Bass, former six-term congressman from New Hampshire; Darwin Cusack, former chief of staff" to Congressman Bass; and Elias "Skip" Ashooh, a key adviser on real estate and economic development issues throughout the region.
