Agusta Westland has delivered the last of 22 EH101 Merlin HC Mk 3 helicopters to the Royal Air Force and completed build of the last of 44 HM Mk 1s for the Royal Navy. The triple-engined EH101, which entered service with the Royal Navy in 1998, was designed as the successor to the ASW warfare HAS Mk 6 Sea King. It is currently in service with the Italian Navy and the Canadian Armed Forces, and another 14 and 12 units have been ordered from Denmark and Portugal respectively.
