Merit Medical Introduces New Catheter Securement Device.

SOUTH JORDAN, Utah -- Merit Medical Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: MMSI), a manufacturer and marketer of proprietary disposable accessories used primarily in cardiology and radiology procedures, today announced the introduction of a new catheter securement device called the Revolution(TM).

The Merit Revolution(TM) is a patented device that adheres to a patient's skin and then is rotated to deploy suture material that secures catheters in place. It positions catheters for up to seven days, prevents kinking and allows maximum drainage flow by means of a raised support. The fifth of Merit's magnificent seven new products, the Revolution(TM) allows clear visualization and easy cleaning of the puncture site. It also includes a plastic cap so the patient can cover the puncture site for extra protection while showering.
