Meridian Meridian (mərĭd`ēən), city (1990 pop. 41,036), seat of Lauderdale co., E Miss., near the Ala. line; settled 1831, inc. 1860.  this week announced the following transactions:

* A new mortgage for $5,140,000 on a purchase of two 5-story elevator elevator, in machinery

* A new mortgage for $2,200,000 on a 26-unit, 4-story walk-up apartment building on Union Street in Brooklyn, NY. The loan featured a rate of 6.370% and a 10-year term. The transaction was negotiated by Carol Shelby.

* A new mortgage for $1,750,000 on an 11-unit, 5-story walk-up apartment building on West 77th Street in New York, NY. The loan featured a rate of 6.250% and a 10-year term. The transaction was negotiated by Saul Piller.

* A new mortgage for $1,560,000 on a purchase of an 8-unit, 5-story walk-up apartment building on Madison Avenue Madison Avenue, celebrated street of Manhattan, borough of New York City. It runs from Madison Square (23d St.) to the Madison Bridge over the Harlem River (138th St.). In the 1940s and 50s, some of the major U.S.  in New York, NY. The loan featured a rate of 6.490% and a 10-year term. The transaction was negotiated by Carol Shelby and Benjamin Klugman.

* A new mortgage for $1,400,000 on a 71-unit, 6-story co-op building on 112th Street in Forest Hills, NY. The co-op is 0% sold and the loan featured a rate of 6.260% with a 10-year term. Jeffrey J. Weinberg and David Ostrov negotiated this transaction.

* A new mortgage for $935,000 on a 3-story mixed-use building on Washington Street The following streets in the United States are called Washington Street:
  • Washington Street (Alexandria), in Alexandria, Virginia
  • Washington Street (Baltimore), in Baltimore, Maryland, running near Johns Hopkins Hospital
 in Newark, NJ. The loan featured a rate of 7.25% and a 15-year term. The transaction was negotiated by Ami Levin lev·in
