VantageMed Corporation (Nasdaq:VMDC), a leading supplier of healthcare information solutions, has been selected by Mercy Oakland Physician Network (MOPN) to provide an integrated managed care information system delivered through VantageMed's managed care solution, eMCee(R). eMCee allows MOPN to more efficiently manage their provider network through enhanced access to electronic services such as member eligibility management, automated claim processing, referral and authorization management, and extensive reporting capabilities.

Providers and hospitals in the network will also experience more efficient access to information using eMCee Connect. eMCee Connect provides access to detailed member eligibility, claim review, and referral authorization requests or status checking using either a standard Internet browser or Ridgemark, VantageMed's integrated practice management solution. With security as a high priority at MOPN, eMCee's security capabilities allow MOPN to control provider and hospital access to this confidential information. This combination of services allows MOPN to improve communications and increase access to accurate and timely information while minimizing the paper flow between the members in the network.
