Mercury Castings, a division of Mercury Marine Mercury Marine, founded in 1939, is a division of Brunswick Corporation of Lake Forest, Illinois, in the United States. Company beginnings
The company began when engineer Carl Kiekhaefer purchased a small outboard motor company in Cedarburg, Wisconsin.

The term initially referred to the company that made the products (the "original" manufacturer), but eventually became widely used to refer to the organization that buys the products and  applications. Given the size and volume of the parts it produces, repeatability and scrap reduction are critical factors for cost-efficiency. To help achieve these goals, Mercury Castings uses a Sure-Trak shot control system from Visi-Trak Worldwide, L.L.C., Valley View, Ohio, on 24 of its diecasting machines.
