ISO, from the Greek, isos, which means equal, represents a set of internationally recognized, formal standards for quality assurance systems in industrial manufacturing and service companies. Voluntary certification provides a company with acknowledgment for adhering to product and service quality standards; recognition as a "world-class" organization; and provides greater entry to compete in global business markets, particularly in Europe. Menlo Logistics received ISO 9001/9002 category certification for HP at Boise, Idaho, and ISO 9002 category certification for NCR and re-certification for Tektronix. Menlo Logistics and NCR have had a business partnership since 1994, which now extends across all five of NCR's worldwide business units. For NCR, Menlo was certified in March, 1998, for its management of a highly complex international logistics The negotiating, planning, and implementation of supporting logistic arrangements between nations, their forces, and agencies. For HP in Boise, Menlo Logistics was originally certified in February, 1997, and re-certified in May, 1998. During this time, further enhancements to this

"world class" organization and operations were made. For example, the Boise operation boasts inventory accuracy levels that increased from 99.98% to 99.999%.

Menlo Logistics has partnered with HP since 1992, providing management services for warehousing and distribution, transportation and supply chains. Menlo Logistics was awarded certification by American Quality Assessors, which is authorized to administer the ISO audit for the ANSI-RAB (ANSI-Registration Accreditation Board.)

In addition, Underwriters Laboratories recently awarded Menlo ISO 9002 re-certification for its management of a dedicated trucking fleet and ocean container unloading, operating an Oracle-based Central Receiving center and providing internal distribution, all in support of Tektronix's three manufacturing divisions: measurement, color printing, and video and networking. Menlo, which has partnered with Tektronix since 1993, picks up inbound raw materials and finished goods from vendors and delivers them to the Tektronix manufacturing facilities near Portland, Oregon. Menlo initially received ISO certification for the Tektronix project in December, 1996.
